Chroma will participate in the 2026 OCP Global Summit hosted by the Open Compute Project (OCP), held at San Jose Convention Center.
Centered on “Scaling Innovation for the AI Era,” this year’s summit examines how the industry is responding to the rapidly evolving demands of AI. Sessions will address advances in compute clusters, server architecture, data center power and cooling, optical networking, and advanced packaging, along with the design, configuration, and operation of these systems.
Introducing the Chroma 61860HF: 60 kVA in a Compact 5U Form Factor
At this year’s summit, Chroma officially launches the 61860HF Regenerative Grid Simulator, the latest addition to its AC source portfolio.
Leveraging Chroma’s latest advancements in power electronics, digital control, and cooling technologies, the 61860HF delivers up to 60 kVA of output power in a compact 5U chassis, setting a new benchmark in AC source power density.
Compared to conventional solutions in the same power class, the 61860HF achieves 14.7 times higher power density and an 87% reduction in system height and weight – transforming what was once a floor-standing cabinet system into a powerful benchtop instrument.
The unit can also be integrated into automated test system racks, working alongside other test equipment to form a complete power testing solution, giving users superior flexibility in both application and space configuration.
High Bandwidth and Fast Transient Response for ITIC and Grid Disturbance Simulation
Designed for the power testing demands of AI-era servers, the 61860HF substantially increases bandwidth while delivering low ripple noise, stable output, and fast transient response. These output characteristics provide a reliable AC testing platform for critical AI server power validation, including fast dynamic response, extreme power line disturbance (PLD) simulation, and ITIC pre-compliance testing.
As data centers worldwide adopt higher-voltage, higher-power architectures, the 61860HF is also equipped with output voltage extension capability (Extend Vout), high-voltage operation through series connection of multiple units, and advanced fiber-optic communication for parallel operation. These capabilities provide a comprehensive and reliable AC power testing solution at a pivotal moment for AI power infrastructure development.
