When measuring very small resistances, a few ohms to a few milliohms, consistency is difficult. One of the main reasons for variation is slight changes in temperature from one measurement to the next. An effective antidote to temperature change is automatic temperature compensation such as that used in the Chroma 16502 milliohm meter.
