Electronic Load for Low Voltage, High Current Applications

As server computers and networking systems become more powerful, point of load DC/DC voltages for CPUs are continuing trend lower (below 1V) while demanding higher currents. To satisfy the needs of test engineers, we have released a new DC electronic load for low voltage, high current applications.

The 63206A-60-1000 DC Electronic Load provides up to 1,000A @ 0.6V (it derates linearly to lower voltages, e.g. 500A @ 0.3V) and has an overall operating range of 0-60V & 0-1,000A at 6kW. These loads also include sine wave loading, dynamic frequency sweep to 50kHz, digitizing, MPPT, and the highest accuracy available (voltage 0.015%+0.015%F.S. and current 0.05%+0.05%F.S.) – all with an incredibly high power density @4U high.

Chroma Unveils Next-Generation Bidirectional DC Power Supplies: 45kW @ 4U High Power Density and 8x Wide-Range Output

In an industry-first, the 62450D-2000HL enables one-key switching between two output ranges within a single unit, effectively providing the output range of two units in one. Users can easily switch between the high voltage (2000V/±60A/±45kW) and high current (650V/±180A/±45kW) range with a single touch, offering up to 8x wider output range capabilities to meet the testing needs of a diverse array of devices under test (DUT).

How to Use RF Impedance Measurements to Ensure the Quality of Miniaturized Power Inductors

Most high-frequency and miniaturized power inductors are metal molding-type inductors. The magnetic metal powder surfaces are usually treated with an oxide layer to reduce eddy current losses at high frequencies, enhancing the usable frequency range and reducing losses and temperature rising. However, users typically cannot determine the particle size of the magnetic material and the integrity of the oxide layer after molding and sintering through visual inspection alone.
