3rd Annual Barksdale AFB IT Expo

Come and see us at the 3rd Annual Barksdale AFB Information Technology Expo hosted by the AFCEA ArkLaTex Chapter!

Shane Robinson, Government Contract Sales Manager, will be on hand to help answer questions about how Chroma Systems Solutions can provide an electrical testing solution for your business needs, from design to production. We currently support the Airforce’s VDATS system, and we encourage to stop by and discuss these exiting capabilities with you.

Barksdale is home to the Air Force’s newest command, Air Force Global Strike Command. AFGSC was activated in August, 2009, and is responsible for the nation’s three intercontinental Balistic Missile Wings, two B-52 Stratofortress Wings and the only B-2 Spirit Wing. The “Mighty Eighth” Air Force, of World War II fame, is headquartered at the base. Barksdale is home to the 2nd Bomb Wing, 2nd Operations Group, 2nd Maintenance Group, 2nd Mission Support Group, the 2nd Medical Group, Eighth Air Force Museum (which maintains the historical aircraft and artifacts that grace the base) and the Air Force Reserve’s 917th Wing.

For more information about the event, see our event description, and also visit the Federal Direct Access Expositions website.

Energy Storage System Testing: How Chroma Battery Simulators Are Transforming Validation Efficiency

Energy storage systems have important and specific parameters for PCS performance, such as a charge and discharge response times not exceeding 0.5 seconds, a minimum sustained runtime of 15 minutes, and a system round-trip efficiency of over 85%. Therefore, PCS need to undergo a range of comprehensive tests, including charge/discharge testing, efficiency testing, and anti-islanding protection testing…
